Jezebel

$175.00
Jezebel - My painting shows Jezebels fall from her throne. Her hands feet, and part of her face are focal points. With small details in the background hinting at other parts of her story - a kingdom, a tower, dogs laying in wait. She lays on her golden robes, with images representing her kingdom, her awareness, and her femininity. A snake coils near her, initially a fearsome site, but upon noticing it is a garter snake, you realize this is a relatively common and inoffensive animal. The kingdom melts behind her, and her own throne seems to be fading. All the while, her chin is up, her hands are poised gracefully. She does her best to stay calm, and elegant, while adjusting to her new position and accepting her fate with dignity.

This print is 18”x24” giclee on cold pressed watercolor paper. The color and texture are perfect, the details are as clear as the original painting.
